Product Description
Enrico Marforio was born in Arona, Italy, in 1954. He received a diploma from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and a degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Milan. Since 1980 he has been working both professionally and as a researcher in the field of design and architectural planning. Marforio has been involved in projects and creations relating to interiors, design, and private and government-owned -buildings. He assisted professor Emilio Battisti on the course in Architectural Composition, and professors Franco Purini and Maria Grazia Folli on the course in Design and Surveying, both at the Polytechnic of Milan. Marforio has himself lectured at the ISDAD in that same city. He has also taken part in national and international architecture and design competitions and in a specialist course at the Domus Academy in Milan. In the area of design, Marforio has focused on fancy items, furniture trimmings, bathroom fittings, kitchen utensils, spectacles and fashion accessories, as well as lighting for outdoor uses and urban decoration. Amongst others, he has designed for Alessi, Olivari, RSVP, Versace, Raf and Ghisamestieri.
