The Vango Icarus 500 XL is a limited edition tent that is unique to Outdoor Megastore. The tent is essentially the Vango Icarus 500 but with an extra section added to the front of the tent that has the effect of extending the living space out by a massive 1.2m. The additional section features two additional window panels to ensure the tent remains light and airy but otherwise the tent is as per the standard Vango Icarus 500. This is the 2nd year that Outdoor Megastore has featured this outstanding tent and we have asked Vango to make some significant upgrades on last year's model. First we have larger windows throughout which will give you great panoramic views of the campsite. The second is that the tent is wider than last season with an extra 20cm being added to the width to make the sleeping areas even more spacious, not to mention the extra living space!
The Vango Icarus tent range has built its popularity on the back of its fantastically simple 'as-one' easy to pitch system and the simple identical pole length construction makes it the most ideal of weekend tents. The Vango Icarus 500 XL features a 5-berth (2+3) breathable inner with removable divider curtain, an enormous (335x390cm) living area - which will give you plenty of space for tables, chairs and storage units - plus a fully sewn-in polyethylene groundsheet throughout.
Other features of the Vango Icarus 500XL include, a Protex 3000 embossed polyester flysheet with 3000mm hydrostatic head, Powerflex fibreglass poles, as-one pitching, TBS tension band system for extra strengthening in adverse weather, 10,000mm HH polyethylene sewn-in groundsheet, front 'U' door with secondary mesh door.
