The Different Mounting Methods
There are 5 main methods roof bars can be attached to your vehicle; Fixpoints, Roof Rails, Rain Gutters, Door Seals and T Track. It is important the method mentioned above is relevant to your vehicle.The same model of vehicle can exist in different specifications e.g. with or without roof rails
Vehicles with Pre-Installed Fixpoints
Many cars are fitted with pre-installed attachments for load carriers, so called fixpoints. These ensure a solid and secure mounting
Vehicles with Roof Rails
Roof Rails run the length of the roof of a vehicle. Roof Bars attach to these by clamping onto or around the rails. Some Roof Rails, usually ones mounted flush to the roof, have a shaped profile or a grove on the inside
Door Seals
