The spalt maple wood used looks great, and sounds great too. Even with the factory fitted black nylon strings, it produced a great, rounded tone - but we fit top of the line Aquila Concert strings, turning a good sound great.

It is really well made. No corners cut at all - it looks and plays great and is a brilliant 'step-up' ukulele for those who have outgrown basic instruments. Because it is a bit special it also makes a great gift.
